Behind the Open Source project is Angelos Mavros from Athens, Greece. Angelos began making music under the alias OutSid3r in 1999 and has been constantly improving his outputs since then. In 2004, he started releasing music under the name "Open Source", as he switched from trackers to a professional DAW. All of his productions include prominent melodies and deep ambience that reflect the producer's melancholic psyche. In 2005, Angelos founded Ghost Label records, a label dedicated to electronic music that has released the majority of his tracks. Open Source embraced the overwhelming popularity of electronic music and infused the EDM scene with his unique, soulful sound. His outstanding live performances, in combination with his versatile musical style, have earned him a worldwide audience across multiple global venues.

I started making bedroom mixes in 1983 with a MAC and a double tape deck. In 1993 I was on the radio, broadcasting to Nottingham for 6 years as DJ Lazy. I started playing Nottingham clubs in 1994 and set up a night called Twist. In 2004 I teamed up with El Carlos and created Jump Shake Rattle & Roll in Birmingham. I don't know what happened, but... Two days ago, everything just stopped working. I know it's the settings in my laptop, and I'm going through the phases of trying to figure it all out. At first, I thought it was the monitors, but I connected them to a stereo system: spliced the wires and they worked. The FLX4 is lighting up, but it only plays through laptop speakers. I panic... I ordered some JBLs from Azon. For now, I'm playing off a FLX2: a Sanyo receiver and a pair of KLH Model 17's. I'm living on Reddit for advice.
